Steve Wexler, born in Baltimore, Maryland, first visited Longboat Key and Sarasota as a child. Although he did not move to Longboat Key until his mid-20s, he often visited relatives who had been active in the business community. Upon moving to the area, Steve pursued a successful career with Arvida Realty Sales, Ltd. After 16 1/2 years, he left and founded Waterside Property Sales, Inc. Waterside operated as a boutique firm known to be home to an elite group of successful real estate professionals. The firm grew building its fine reputation of integrity and professionalism. Years later, Arvida Realty Sales, Ltd submitted a proposal to Steve to acquire Waterside Property Sales, Inc. He declined their offer and countered by proposing to purchase their operations in Sarasota and Manatee counties. The acquisition became effective one week later. The firm quickly grew to have three locations and established its role as a major player in the Longboat Key and Sarasota real estate market by dominating the luxury condominium market on Longboat Key, as well as the waterfront home market on Bird Key. Several years later, Steve orchestrated the sale of Waterside to a parent company of a national real estate firm, with the assistance of Judy Green, then the CEO and president of Coldwell Banker Residential Real Estate of Florida. He then worked as a consultant to top developers in Florida and the Caribbean. In 2009, Steve accepted Judy Green's offer to join her new firm in a sales position. Recently, Premier Sotheby's International Realty presented him with an award for having the highest average sales price per transaction. Steve's long-term personal knowledge of the area's finest properties and huge network of contacts make him an ideal choice to guide buyers and sellers through the current market. He always attaches greater importance to making new friends than making a quick sale. Steve's high ethical standards are recognized by his clients and colleagues. When a moderator once asked his opinion of what the single most important factor in a real estate transaction was, he responded, "communication is the most important aspect.
